At age 18, Danika Bouchard is an extremely active young woman with a genuine passion to make a difference. In her fifth year of high school, Danika was involved in launching the entrepreneurial project “A small gesture for the world,” the aim of which was to promote awareness of fair and ecological practices. Danika’s involvement in this project led her to be nominated spokesperson for La dizaine de la culture entrepreneuriale the same year, and her project also received the highest honours at the Concours québécois en entrepreneuriat.
Danika has also been closely involved with the Carrefour jeunesse emploi’s advisory council and, “though she was by far the youngest member of the committee,” as nominator Andréanne Dubois told us, “she expressed her ideas with openness and conviction.”
Her achievements, however, do not end there! Among other projects, Danika has also distinguished herself by organizing (and this in spite of challenging circumstances) a project allowing clowns to visit sick children at the CHUS hospitals.
Currently in Uganda volunteering at an orphanage, Danika is working hard to make a difference...and certainly succeeding! Nominator Yannick Daoudi said that “at 18 years old, Ms. Bouchard has already proven to be an exemplary leader; I have no doubt she will achieve great success in tomorrow’s society.”
