The Dobson-Lagassé Entrepreneurship Centre offers entrepreneurs a wide range of consulting services, resources, training sessions and conferences that support entrepreneurship. The organization defines itself as a major reference centre and a unique forum with a view to exchanging information and serving the Eastern Townships business community.
Created in 1998, the Dobson-Lagassé Entrepreneurship Centre, which is affiliated with Bishop's University, is an independent centre and a private sector initiative. Initial financial support was provided by its Founding President, Louis Lagassé, Esq., and by The John Dobson Foundation. Since then, many partners have contributed to its growth, among them Canada Economic Development.

Entrepreneurship Support Network Member Services The new Support Network is intended for manufacturing industries or service companies in the Eastern Townships during the first years of their existence. In order to benefit from its services, these businesses must pay an annual membership fee to the Network. |

Support Groups The support groups help entrepreneurs break the isolation they might be experiencing, encourage mutual assistance and networking, and foster information sharing. Activities include regular monthly discussions and thematic meetings
Mentoring The Dobson-Lagassé Entrepreneurship Centre, in collaboration with the Fondation de l'entrepreneurship, offers young entrepreneurs the opportunity to work with business mentors who possess practical experience of the business world and are willing to sponsor, guide and advise them. Working with mentors increases the survival rate of businesses. | The Dobson-Lagassé Entrepreneurship Centre has created a unique intervention model for communities which are experiencing difficulties with their economic and industrial development. The Centre proposes efficient, result-oriented strategies, while providing these communities with access to the necessary business coaching.
