Do you have an idea for a business? Or are you simply interested in learning more about entrepreneurship but aren't sure where to go for information?

If you are under 35, there's the Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi des Cantons de l'Est, a resource aimed particularly at helping youth in the Townships succeed.
You can also check out entrepreneur resources in the useful links section of the CEDEC website. The Eastern Townships CEDEC helps local English-speaking communities identify and build on their own unique strengths. They accomplish this by connecting people together, and by connecting people to local organizations, institutions and government partners who want to help.
There's also the Dobson-Lagassé Entrepreneurship Centre, an independent private sector initiative affiliated with Bishop's University. The Centre offers established entrepreneurs a wide range of consulting services, resources, training sessions and conferences that support entrepreneurship. The organization defines itself as a major reference centre and a unique forum with a view to exchanging information and serving the Eastern Townships business community.
There are of course other resources available as well. The Topportunity website has a useful "resources" menu, which includes links to information about financial aid for your studies (maybe a BBA from Bishop's University would help your business prospects?), tools for work such as Job Links, tools for life with everything from parenthood to retirement, help with literacy, and information on improving your French! If you still can't find what your looking for, then maybe you'll find the appropriate reference on our links page.
