DURATION: 190 hours STARTING DATE: October 19, 2009 ENDING DATE: November 27, 2009 SCHEDULE: 8:30a.m. to 3:30 p.m. TRAINING SITE: Knowlton
Objective: To train personnel to work with seniors in private nursing homes and in private homes. -Training is offered in english for both men and women! ADMISSION CRITERIA: -Unemployed -Out of school for at least 24 months -Want to acquire health care skills to improve chances of finding employment -A good knowledge of the English language -Available for full-time training during the day for 30-35 hours a week, for 6 weeks -Priority will be given to individuals residing in the territory of the local employment centres for Brome-Missisqui and Haute Yamaska

Diploma in Environmental Studies now offered at the University of Sherbrooke!
The Centre Universitaire de formation en environnement of the University of Sherbrooke is now offering part-time studies to interested people (including those who are currently in the work force) with its diplĂ´me en gestion de l'environnement.
This exciting new program will help people interested in environmental studies acquire tools which will allow them to diagnose, prevent and resolve environmental problems and improve the quality of their environmental interactions. This program will also allow them to develop their skills and will aid them in furthering their chosen careers.
